TAP Controller Software Installation Information

Notice: Do not connect the TAP Controller to the USB until after this software has been installed.

 

The software that is available on this web site allows for accessing the data within the TAP controller via either a USB connection or an RS232 connection (depending upon model).  This software allows for fast, easy data download from TAP to a PC.  The data may then be easily displayed in a spread-sheet or saved as a file for later analysis.

On the TAP controller, press both the “Up” and “Down” buttons to display the version number.  Then select a link based on the following:

 

A. For TAP systems with the USB connector and displaying software versions “2.0” through “2.7” or “3.0” through “3.7, choose one of these links.

For PC's with Windows 2000 or Windows XP (32 bit)

For PC’s with Windows Vista (32 or 64 bit)

For PC's with Windows 98 or Windows ME

 

 

B.  For TAP systems with the RS-232 connection and displaying version “3.5”, choose one of these links.

For PC's with Windows 2000 or Windows XP (32 bit)

For Windows Vista (32 or 64 bit)

For PC's with Windows 98 or Windows ME

 

 

C.  For TAP systems displaying software version “1.8”, use this link:

This software can only be installed on Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000 or Windows XP (32 bit).  In addition, a “terminal” program such as “Hyperterminal” that is usually supplied with Windows must be used.
